Nurturing Young Minds Every Day

Discover fun and engaging outdoor games that help your preschooler build motor skills, teamwork, and confidence while enjoying the fresh air.

Fresh air and open space are some of the best learning tools we have. Outdoor play helps preschoolers build strength, balance, and coordination while giving them room to be loud, silly, and free.

Games That Build Strength and Coordination

A few simple games are all it takes to get your preschooler moving, laughing, and building new skills outside:

  • A simple obstacle course made from cones, hula hoops, and a balance beam
  • Hopscotch to practice balance and counting
  • Bean bag toss for hand-eye coordination
  • Parachute games, tossing a ball using a shared parachute as a group

Games That Build Teamwork and Imagination

Classic games like Red Light Green Light and Follow the Leader sneak in listening and self-control practice, while a backyard scavenger hunt for leaves, rocks, and flowers combines movement with early science skills. The goal isn’t structure, it’s movement, laughter, and a little bit of healthy dirt under the fingernails.
