Answers to the questions Northville families ask us most. If you do not see what you need, call 248-347-6580 and we will talk it through.
Hours and Location
What are your hours?
Sunny Pointe is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Where are you located?
We are at 19149 Fry Road, Northville, MI 48167. Families come to us from Northville and Northville Township, Novi, Plymouth, Canton, Livonia, South Lyon and Salem Township.
Ages and Programs
What ages do you care for?
Children from 12 weeks old through kindergarten age. We run six programs:
- Infant — 12 weeks to 12 months
- Young Toddlers — 12 to 18 months
- Toddlers — 18 to 34 months
- Preschool — 2½ years through kindergarten-eligible
- Young Fives / Kindergarten — 5 years
- Summer Camp — 3 to 6 years
What is your infant staff-to-child ratio?
One staff member for every three infants. Our infant room runs at a 1:3 ratio so each baby gets consistent, individual attention, and our staff follow your child’s own schedule rather than a fixed classroom routine.
What is the difference between Preschool and the Young Fives program?
Preschool serves children from 2½ until they are eligible for kindergarten. The Young Fives program is for children who are five but not yet age-eligible for public school kindergarten — it gives them a literacy-rich year in a smaller, home-like classroom before they start.
Do you offer care over the summer?
Yes. Our Summer Camp runs for ages 3 to 6, with water play, sports, science, cooking and field trips.
Cost and Enrollment
How much does child care cost at Sunny Pointe?
Tuition depends on your child’s age and how many days per week they attend. Infant care costs more than preschool because it requires a much lower staff-to-child ratio. See our tuition page for how pricing works, or call 248-347-6580 for a quote for your family.
How do I enroll my child?
Enrollment starts with a visit. Call 248-347-6580 or request a tour. You will see the rooms, meet the teachers your child would actually be with, and we will go through current availability for your child’s age group.
About Sunny Pointe
How long has Sunny Pointe been open?
Sunny Pointe has cared for Northville families since 1991. Many of our teachers have been with us for years, so children see the same familiar faces as they grow.
What is your teaching approach?
We keep class sizes small and let children learn through exploration and discovery in a warm, home-like setting rather than a rigid classroom routine. How much adult guidance a child gets varies with the activity, because we believe a good program offers both directed and non-directed experiences. There is more on our philosophy page.
