Our CHILD CARE Philosophy
Sunny Pointe Child Care provides a quality child care experience in a comfortable, familiar, home-like setting.
Our program reflects the belief that learning takes place primarily through exploratory activities and discovery. The amount of adult guidance varies with each activity, as it is our belief that a good program offers both directed and non-directed experiences, encouraging your child to plan and think about their actions.
Each room provides a child-centered environment with a wide range of materials and developmentally appropriate activities, which allow your child to create, manipulate, explore, and discover according to their particular and unique interests. Each child is valued and recognized as a unique individual with a large capacity for growth and development.
Through both group and individual activities, your child is encouraged to develop socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically at his or her own rate.
The atmosphere at Sunny Pointe is relaxed and casual geared towards the interests and needs of your child, allowing them the freedom to be ones self and develop as a unique individual. We take into consideration your child’s differences and special abilities as well as your families culture and values.
We have special days for family activities and interaction. But don’t wait for an invitation feel free to stop by at any time and as often as you like. See firsthand your child’s day care experience and know that their time is well spent on meaningful activities focused on developing your child to the best of their ability.
About Us: Quality Child Care in a Home-Like Setting
Sunny Pointe Child Care Center is a unique, privately owned childcare center located in Northville, Michigan. Established in the fall of 1991, Sunny Pointe has grown side-by side with the Northville community nearly doubling in size and services over the years.

Sunny Pointe provides quality childcare and learning beyond other centers in the Northville area. How is Sunny Pointe different?
Environment: We take great care and pride in your child’s learning environment. Children enjoy their day in large, well-lit, bright areas that provide a very comfortable, familiar and nurturing, home-like environment.
Curriculum: We provide a curriculum specifically developed for your son or daughter’s age and level of development.
Group & Class Size: Each learning group is kept at a small size. Child to staff ratios are low, which ensures your child will receive individual attention each day.
Staff: Each staff member is well trained to be prepared, professional and courteous.
Teachers: Each teacher holds a degree in Early Childhood Education.
Well-Equipped: Each learning environment is well-equipped with features that foster decision-making and encourage interaction and involvement.
Outdoor: Our outdoor areas encourage active play, sensory experiences and discovery with a variety of elements including sand, water, plants and flowers.
Lunch: An optional hot lunch service gives you a choice of ordering daily, occasionally, or bringing a lunch from home for your child. You choose what is most convenient for you and your family.
Diversity: Children receive a true multi-cultural experience from the children and educators at Sunny Pointe who represent a total of 9 different countries throughout the world.
More Classes: Classes are available in Gymnastics and Music in addition to the variety of classes already offered in your child’s curriculum.
In-House Field Trips: In-house field trips to support weekly themes such as The Music Lady, Niner Puppeteers, Andy’s Railroad, and Sports.
Accreditation: Sunny Pointe is licensed by the state of Michigan and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, (NAEYC).
